Learning Path

In this article, you’ll discover how to build a learning path, organise courses into a logical flow, set enrollment rules, and track completion progress.

Updated this week

Learning Paths allow you to structure courses in a predefined sequence so learners follow a consistent progression. This feature is ideal for onboarding, compliance training, upskilling, or any program where content must be completed in a specific order.

Adding courses to a learning path

  1. Go to Learning paths page.

  2. Create a new path or open an existing one.

  3. Click Add steps.

  4. Select the courses you want to include.

Rearrange items using Move up or Move down.

This helps you build structured programs such as onboarding sequences, compliance flows, or role-based learning journeys.

Learning path enrollment rules

After you finish structuring the path, you can publish it to learners.

  1. Go to the Learning paths.

  2. Create a new path or choose the existing one.

  3. Click Enroll learners/Settings at the top.

You have two ways of enrollment:

Automatically enroll learners

Set enrollment rules to automatically assign the learning path to learners.

Choose from:

  • No rules (learners won’t be enrolled automatically)

  • Enroll all learners (all learning space learners get access)

  • Auto-enroll rule (enroll learners based on selected conditions such as Tags or Created date)

Click Save to apply changes.

Example of Auto-enroll rule: Only learners tagged “L&D” and created before 20-02-2026 will see this path. When rules are applied, the system indicates how many learners meet the criteria (such as 6 learners will gain access to this learning path).

Enroll individual learners

Manually add specific learners to the learning path.

Search by name or email in the Enrolled learners section and click Save.

Individually enrolled learners are not affected by enrollment rules and will keep access unless manually unenrolled.

Tracking progress

Open the Progress tab to view:

  • Number of enrolled learners

  • Course completion status

  • Overview of learners' progress

  • Exportable reports

These insights help you monitor program effectiveness and identify learners who may need support.

Expert Tip: Use learning paths together with Tags to automate role-specific training. For example, tag new hires with “Onboarding” and automatically enroll them into a tailored learning path without manual invites.
