How to Use AI Roleplay in EducateMe?
Let your learners build real-world communication skills through safe, AI-powered simulations directly inside your training content. AI Roleplay activity helps learners practice real conversations like giving elevator pitches, handling objections, or responding to tough questions, all without needing a live partner.
We highly recommend watching our video tutorial on AI Roleplay:
How to create an AI Roleplay?

What do learners see?
When a learner opens the activity, they’ll:
See the instructions
Click on the Start roleplay button
Hit the Start call button
Practice and reflect in a no-pressure environment
After the session, learners can see a number of attempts, results, and they can try again to keep practicing.
Managing AI Roleplay sessions
You can control how learners engage with AI Roleplay scenarios.
You can view session attempts, duration, and results, as well as listen to recordings and review transcripts. Plus, you can delete the session if needed and reset learner progress to provide additional practice opportunities.
Click Sessions to view the overall table and choose a learner who you want to review. From there, you can examine each attempt, viewing the time spent, audio recordings with transcripts, and AI feedback.
This helps ensure consistent practice times and keeps learners on track with course pacing.
Managing the number of attempts
You can now control how many times learners can attempt each AI Roleplay scenario. Set the number of allowed attempts directly in the AI Roleplay activity settings.
To set attempts:
Open the course program and select the AI Roleplay activity.
Go to the Settings tab.
Set the number of allowed attempts (minimum: 1, default: 3).
Attempts are shared across all courses and activities using this Roleplay.
If the same learner takes this Roleplay in multiple courses, their attempts are counted together.
Learners will see how many total attempts they have to complete the scenario:
If evaluation is enabled, the activity is completed once the learner passes the evaluation or when all attempts are used.
If evaluation is disabled, the activity is completed after the first run, though learners can still use any remaining attempts for practice.
This feature helps instructors track progress, encourage reflection, and limit retries to maintain realistic practice conditions.
Expert Tip: Provide a detailed prompt when creating scenarios to make AI responses more realistic and relevant for learners, improving engagement and skill transfer.
