The “Course Library” feature is designed to help you manage your learning content more efficiently and provide learners with access to multiple courses, creating a knowledge library for them.
You can create libraries based on a specific industry or department in your organization, such as marketing, management, sales, etc.
Administrator side
Let’s create a “Course Library” and overview all settings and how they work:
Only the user with the “Administrator” role has access to the “Course Library”.
Type the library name, and you can set the custom icon for it.
The next setting is “Assigned courses”. In this list, you can select any active or finished courses that you have to provide access for your learners.
The “Visibility” has three options:
The library is visible to all learners in the workspace.
After it’s created, all learners will see this library in their learning space.Show this library to learners based on assigned tags.
If you need to provide access to a specific group of learners,
you can use learner tags to limit access to the course library.Hidden from all learners in the workspace
For example, this option is useful when creating a draft version
of the library that needs to remain hidden from learners
Once you have created libraries, you can manage them in the table:
Name and custom icon.
Number of courses that are assigned to the library.
The visibility type you’ve set.
Hover over the “By tags” type to see the learner tags.
Hovering over the number of courses will display a list of assigned courses.
Learner side
Here is example on how course libraries work on the learner side.
A learner can navigate between libraries using tabs or by scrolling through the ‘All Courses’ tab.
The ‘My Courses’ section displays courses that a learner has started.
Each started course has a progress bar and shows the number of activities completed by the learner.
Below the ‘My Courses’ section, a learner can see all accessible course libraries.
To enroll in a course, a learner should start the course using the button on it. By default, learners are not assigned to the courses from libraries; they are displayed as a preview that they can choose to study.
If a learner starts a course, and the course library is hidden afterward, the learner will still have access to the started course.
