Why organize learners into groups?
Groups allow you to manage learners more efficiently and personalize their learning experience. Common reasons include:
Load management
Distribute a large number of learners between multiple instructors.
Learners receive more personalized support
Instructors only see assignment submissions from their assigned groups
Important:
For instructors to see only their group’s submissions:
All learners must be assigned to a group
Each group must have at least one instructor assigned

You may assign multiple instructors to the group.
If no instructors are set, it means that all course instructors will be allowed to view Learners' assignments.

You can hide some activities and/or modules for the group.
Navigate to the Learners page of the course and use Visible lessons settings:
Disabled activities won't be added to the program and calendar for the Learners of this group.
Expert Tip:
Groups are essential for cohort-based learning. By organizing learners into cohorts, you can guide them through the course together, facilitate peer interaction, and deliver content on a shared schedule. This approach improves engagement, fosters collaboration, and makes it easier to manage deadlines, assignments, and feedback for each cohort.
