The email notification editor offers the following functionalities:
Customize the email notification subject and content.
Apply basic styling to the email content.
Utilize variables to ensure Learners receive direct links and accurate information on live sessions, assignments, timing, etc. See how to use variables below.
Test the designed email notification by sending it to your email.
Reset to the default content if needed.
How to use variables
Variables in email notification templates allow for dynamic insertion of personalized or contextual information. Each email notification template has own set of available variables.
For example, in the email notification template below, variables allow to specify:
the live session title in question - «{{meeting_title}}»
when this live session started - {{minutes}} ago
the link to access the session (e.g. Zoom link or any other online meeting tool) - {{link}} hidden behind "join us"
your organization title as an email closing - {{organization_name}}
Learners will receive email notifications with variables being replaced with the actual dynamic information - session title, time, link, organization name:
There are to two ways to use variables in your email notification templates:
click on the variable from the available list to copy it to the clipboard and then paste it into the subject line or email content. The variable in the editor will be replaced with the dynamic information in the text when email notification is sent to Learners.
for links only: utilize the Link option to conceal the variable link behind the text. The variable will be substituted with the dynamic link, allowing Learners to receive clickable text.
